How to Pitch

Send an email to pitches@givingcampaign.com with the word "PITCH:" in the subject line.

Your pitch should include:

  • A working headline that captures the hook.
  • 2-3 paragraphs outlining the story, why it matters now, and why you are the right person to write it.
  • A brief note on how you plan to report it (sources, access).
  • Links to 2-3 previous writing samples.

Rates & Terms

We pay competitive editorial rates starting at $0.50/word for reported features and $300 flat for essays. All payments are made net-30 upon publication. We buy first serial rights.
